Day of Thanks

* For family and time spent with them.
* For health and modern medicine.
* For this time of year, the closeness it brings.
* For vehicles that get us to where we need to be.
* For long weekends.
* That Nate put up the Christmas stuff (even though he didn't really feel like it).
* The decorations that the kids make in school (and are so proud of).
* For Nate's job, especially during these times of unemployment.
* Good neighbors and neighborhood.
* For the Gospel and the certainty it brings to my life.
* For all of the blessings that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Christmas preview.....

Well, it's official, Saturday we put the majority of the Christmas decorations up.  We usually don't do it until this coming weekend (you know after Thanksgiving) but for the next three weekends we are going to be way busy and by the time we could have done it, it would have pointless.  Anyway, I am glad that it is out of the way.. We still have to put up some of the outdoor ones (the ones on the house and roof were put up, but not the lawn and tree and porch ones.)  Just thought I would share.  The kids loved helping to decorate.  Karter got to help again this year on the roof so he of course was super excited!

By the way, I know that the star is a little crooked but after about an hour and a half of putting the tree decorations on (with of course at least 2-3 children at a time) I didn't care by the end.  I will fix it when they aren't around.  Also, don't you love how we have to box our tree in?  We have learned (the hard way:)) that it is a little less tempting for the kids when it is harder to get to.
Our stockings, and yes I do know that there are only five.  Again, another thing that has been on the to do list for at least 2-3 years.  Oh well someday!
One of our nativities (my favorite)!  I love willow tree figurines and collect them.  I love the simplicity of this nativity.

Just wanted to say that I can't wait for December to come.... I love the spirit that Christmas brings!

*BTW, that is just the living room, I will share the rest later.... If I remember :)

* For parents who are always there to help us out!  Thanks!  It doesn't go unappreciated.
*For AWESOME in-laws who have planned a sweet vacation for us and them!  They will never know how much that means to us! Thanks!
*For my grandpa being okay after falling and breaking his hip.  Love ya Gramps!
*For children who constantly express their love to me.
*For my job that helps us out and that I am able to do out of my home!
*For Kande for giving Brynlei two cute new dresses, even though the little girl is a bum sometimes.
*For warm blankets and cooler weather!

*I will try to keep this up every week, no promises though! :)

Finding JOY

This thought has been in my head all week, so I thought that I would share.

"Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now.  The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes.  The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details.  Time never stands still, it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes.
This is our one and only chance at mortal life--here and now.  The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief.  Opportunities come, and then they are gone.  I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not.  I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and non-existent future when you will have time to do all that want to do.  Instead, find joy in the journey--now."

FaLl SoCcEr SeAsOn iS OvEr

Well it finally came, the end of another soccer season!  I didn't think that it would come and now that it is here I can't believe that it is done!

KARTER:  He had two games this week, one on Friday and one on Saturday!  They played the same team both days.  Friday night's game ended in a tie.  It was freezing, I felt bad for the boys out there playing.  Saturday's game Karter's team beat the other team.  We were so proud!  Good Job Karter!

TRAEVN/BREKKEN:  Their team killed the other team!  These boys worked so well together as a team, they were awesome!  Traevn scored their last goal and was so proud of himself!!  Way to go boys!!

PEYTON:  Well his team was able to stay undefeated the whole season!  Peyton played good until about halfway through and then he decided he just wanted to be goofy!  He is such a silly boy!!

They got their trophies and are excited to put them with the rest of them!

We love you boys so much and had fun each week watching you play soccer!  Can't wait until next season!  Now on to basketball in a couple of months!
Thanks to all the grandparents who came and supported the boys in their games!
*These pictures are from last weeks games.  Of course on the last game we forgot the cameras!

Marry me....

Ten years ago today Nate asked me to marry him? Wow, I can't believe that it has been that long since then, it seems like it was just here.  He totally surprised me!!  I was living in Orem at the time and was not expecting it!  We both knew from the first date that we were meant to be in this journey together, I just didn't think that he would be able to surprise me when the time came!  I tease him because he actually asked me on Friday the 13th!  So whenever things aren't going perfectly I say well you might have cursed us by asking me on that day!
Love you Nate!  If you asked me again today to marry you, I would still say YES !

Holy Batman!

We decided to have Peyton's family birthday party last Saturday because the weather was finally decent enough to have it outside!
Peyton wanted a BATMAN party this year!! According to him he loves "all superheros" so this year it was BATMAN.
He got a ton of presents and had so much fun celebrating with all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents!

He was super excited about his cake because he got to pick it out all by himself!
Thanks to all who came and celebrated Peyton's day with him!!  It meant so much to him!!

Peyton's Day!

So yesterday was of course Peyton's birthday!! He was so excited all day long!  After we got the older boys off to school Nate, Brynlei, and I took Peyton out to lunch.  We let him choose and of course he chose IN-N-OUT.  He loves their burgers!  The rest of the day we did activities of his choosing and then came dinner.  We went to TEXAS ROADHOUSE of course.  He could not wait to get on the horse and get his picture taken!  He is such a stud!  Then we came home opened more of his presents, blew out candles, ate another cake, and then called it a night.  He was super exhausted by then, that he crashed after he got out of the tub.

What a handsome birthday boy!!
We love you lil' dude!

Four years ago......

Peyton Daniel Abbott joined our family!
We have been so blessed to have Peyton in our family.  He brings such a sweet and fun spirit into our home each day!  We love him so much and want to wish him the happiest birthday ever!!

He was such a sweet and mellow baby....

What a big boy he has grown up to be!
FOUR things we LOVE about Peyton:

1.  He is always trying to make us laugh!
2.  He loves us so much and tells us on a daily basis at least 4, 9, or 15 times! :)
3.  He worships his older brothers and loves to wrestle with them (he usually wins them).  He is the toughest kid around!
4.  He has the biggest smile and superhero heart!

We love you Peyter-Pie!

Just thought I would share......

As certain challenges and needs (with my children) have come to me  I often find myself being and feeling inadequate as a mother.  I know that I am not nor will I be the perfect mother, but I do know that I LOVE my children with every ounce of my soul.  I always have known that my Father in Heaven has loved me (even when I have been at the lowest of lows).  I have always trusted his love for me, but nothing made it more evident than when I became a mother.  I had never truly felt my own worth, but when I was pregnant with Karter I knew that I finally had worth.  I knew that God trusted me to take care of this baby and love it like he does.  It scares me sometimes knowing what a huge responsibility we have as parents, but I also know that Heavenly Father is right there every step of the way.  I don't have all the answers when it comes to my children and their needs (I wish they would've come with their own manual:)), but I know that no matter what, my love for them will never stop growing.  As long as they KNOW that they are loved then I will be able to work all the other stuff out.  I love my kids and I wish we can have more because they teach me everyday and make me a better person everyday that they are here with me! So I may not be the perfect mother (although I strive to be) I know that someday my children will truly know and understand how much I love each and every single one of them!

SuCh CuTiEs!

Grandma Graff bought these new outfits for the kids, and the kids wanted their pictures taken in them!!
Here they are looking so handsome!  (The 3 middle boys finally had their haircut last night so they are looking much better!  Thanks Kim!)
Brynlei had to have her picture all by herself (can you tell that she kinda rules around here?)  I can't believe that she is getting so big.  She talks like a little teenager, seriously what am I going to do when she is one?
The cool and crazy boys!!  Karter's "cool" pose!
Thanks Grandma G. for the outfits!

*Sorry I forgot to edit the red eyes before I posted these pictures, oh well!

Soccer 11.01

It's Saturday and of course that means soccer time again!  Here's the weekly update:

Traevn/Brekken:  They played awesome!!! Their team won and they all played their best!!  Go Blue Dragons!
Peyton:  His team stayed undefeated yet again this week!  Peyton was in his own little zone and was more into being dramatic and playing around then playing a game!  He kept falling down and being all dramatic about it (I think he was having a candy hangover from the night before.)  Luckily they were able to win!!
and
Karter:  His team had a bye week so we were able to have a little break!

Good Job!

Trick or Treat

Finally Halloween night came and the kids were very anxious to go trick or treating.  The kids looked so handsome, cool, awesome, scary, and cute in their costumes!!  We stopped by Grandpa Pug's and visited him so that he could check out all the kids costumes, it was so good to see him!  Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Graff's.  From there we went trick or treating around the neighborhood for a litte bit.  We were able to walk through a "haunted forest" and a "spook alley"  the kids loved them both (Peyton got just a little bit scared when one of the guys jumped out at him.)  Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Abbott's house.  We did a little bit of trick or treating around their neighborhood and then went inside for some yummy chili and breadsticks.  We played with Grandma, Grandpa, Jamie, Emalee, and Braden!!! By the time the kids were ready to leave they were a bit worn out (can't figure out why:))!
It was a loooong day, but very fun and worth all of it just to live it through the kids and their excitement!!

Thanks for all the fun memories..... Can't wait until next year!

*Of course, we forgot to take more pictures of all the activities, but at least we remember at the end!

School Parades and Parties!

Halloween was the day of the annual school parades and parties!  First thing in the morning was the parade.  The kids get to parade around the school and show off their costumes to the whole school and parents, grandparents, family members, etc.  The kids were excited and we tried to get more pictures but the kids were moving along so fast that it was a little hard!   Bryneli and Peyton were just so excited to just go and be a part of all the festivities and to go to the "big kid school."

Then after the parade all the parties began.  I volunteered to help in all three of their classes.  The kids played games, made crafts, won prizes, and of course ate candy!  They all had so much fun.  I was glad that all of their parties started at different times so that I could help with each one, it's so much fun to see my kids in a different element!

Peyton also had a party at his preschool on Thursday but once again I forgot to bring the camera!! He had a blast though and was way excited to dress up for it!!

*It looks like Brekken is asleep in one of his pictures but it was just the angle of the camera!  So funny!

Annual Pugmire Halloween Party!!

Wednesday night was the annual Halloween party at the Pugs.  The kids were way excited to dress up and show off their costumes to their cousins!  The Pugmire girls had a fun evening planned for all the kids including; face painting, dance contest, crafts, musical chairs, and of course dinner!  We dined on chili, chips, cupcakes, salads, etc..

We had witches, hippies, go-go dancers, star wars guys, soccer players, superheroes, pirates, fairies, minnie mouse, greek goddess', mimes, grapes, Cruella De Ville and Jasper, dental hygienists, coyboys, etc  show up to the party!  What a crew!

The kids had sooo much fun and look forward to this party every Halloween!! Thanks everybody for a good time!
