Traevn's Tooth!!!

Traevn's top tooth finally came out (with a little help from Mom)!!! Both of his top teeth are loose but this one was the looser (if that is even a word) of the two.  It had been dangling by a thread for about a week and last Friday, July 17th he finally decided he would let me pull it out!!! He was so excited when it popped out and couldn't wait to put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy!!!! Now, he can't wait for the other one to get a little more loose so that he can get some more money!!

River tubing @ Zions!!

Last Thursday we headed back up to Zion National Park to go tubing down the river.  This time Makayla, Jaxon, Mya, Kande, Grandma, Keaton, and even Nate were able to go with us.  I made Nate take the day off because the kids wanted to do it with their dad so much, they had felt bad that he had to work the last time we went.  We set up beach, had a picnic, blew up all of the tubes, caught tadpoles, and headed down the river.  Brekken and Traevn were brave enough to give it a try this time.

And of course my mom, Makayla, me, Brynlei, and Peyton stayed behind because the two little ones didn't want to go and neither did Makayla.  We made our tube train for Peyton and Brynlei to ride on and eventually even got Makayla to try it out.  We had so much fun and cannot wait until we can get up there again, except this time I am going to finally go down the river and take all the kids (with Nate helping of course:))!!!!  Thanks again everybody for such an awesome day!!!
*Word to the wise:  Apply sunscreen!!! Nate was the only one who didn't get to put any on and came home with a lobster red belly!! Ouch!!!

Time spent with cousins!!!

Well like we said our Texas cousins; Makayla, Jaxon, and Mya came to St. George last week to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Graff.  We had so much fun hanging out with them.  We had picnics, went to parks, went swimming, went to Laser Mania, went bowling, and finally on their last day went back up to Zion's to tube down the river(post and pics to come).  We love being with all of our cousins even though it gets a little(I mean a lot) crazy when they are all together!!!  These are some pictures from when we went bowling.  Karter ended up winning everybody with a score of 120!!!! Awesome Job!!! Thanks everybody for all the fun and especially Grandma Graff who helped fund all of it:)  We love you guys!!!

Brekken's Family Party!!!

On July 11th, Brekken's 6th birthday, we had our family party.  Brekken wanted a football themed party!!! Grandma and Grandpa Graff were kind enough to let us use their pool to beat the heat!!! After swimming, Brekken opened up his presents.  He got some really cool presents this year including; a new bike, lots of new school outfits, two pairs of shoes, an MP3 player, a football(of course), transformers, new swimming towel, books, money, remote control cars,a club penguin membership,  a golf putter with balls and a practice hole, and even more toys!!!! What a spoiled kid!!! After that we had root beer floats and cake!! We had a blast swimming and being with family!!!
After swimming, we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse where Brekken rode the horse!!!!  Thanks for such an awesome day Brek, we love you sooo much and more!!!!

Brekken's Friend Bowling B-Day Party!!

On Friday, July 10th (the day before the big day) Brekken had his friend party.  He decided this year he wanted to go bowling.  We took the kids up to Dixie Bowl, ate pizza, bowled, opened presents, sang, ate bowling cupcakes, and had a way fun time!!!
It was fun and the thing that Brekken thought was the coolest was that at the end they let all the people who attended the party sign a real bowling pin.  Brekken thought that that was so awesome!!!
It was sooo cute because Brekken has a little "girlfriend" Sydney and they were so cute the whole time.  He sat by her to eat and then we separated the teams into two boy teams and one girl team and the girls kicked their butt!!! (BTW Sydney is the cute little girl on the end with the blond hair:))
We had so much fun with Brekken and his friends.  I can't believe that my middle child is already six!!! Wow!!!

OnE yEaR!!

WOW, one year ago yesterday to be exact we started this little blog.  What a year!!! Many things happened that I would have otherwise forgotten about if it weren't for blogging.  I feel as though we should receive a gift of some kind like maybe those bunk beds for the boys, or maybe a paid vacation for two to Europe, or maybe just maybe a new Honda Odyssey or Pilot.  You know I am just putting it out there, feel free to to pick any or all:)  Thanks for visiting us and keeping in touch with us over the year.  Stay tuned for more exciting things to come from the Abbott household.  Here's to another year or two or maybe fifty, who really knows!!!

Love it (most of the time:))  Stay tuned.

Baseball season is officially over.....

Well Brekken and Peyton's season playing for the Braves ended last Monday, June 29th.  They played awesome and enjoyed playing this season.  Brekken hit a few homeruns and was so proud of himself.  Peyton did awesome for his first year and had totally improved by the end of the season!!!  Love you boys and keep up the hard work.  Good job for an amazing season!!!

Independence Day

The 4th was so much fun this year. The kids all looked so cute in their red, white, and blue (Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Graff). First we headed over to the church for games and breakfast.  Then we lazed around for a little bit and then headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Graff's house for a BBQ, swimming, and fireworks!!!! The kids loved everything!!!! They had fun helping Grandpa do the fireworks and watching them go off.  Thanks everybody for such an awesome day!!!

River Fun

Last Tuesday, June 30th, we headed up to Zion's to play and float down the river.  We went with Grandma Graff, Jeremy, Shannon, Drew, Tollie, Morgen, Lynette, Noah, Josie, Kamri, Sophie, and Keaton.  It was so much fun.   We had a picnic and then Jeremy took the older kids down the river on their tubes.  The rest of us played in the river, caught tadpoles, built sandcastles, and played in the river on tubes.  We had sooo much fun!!!! The kids absolutely loved it!!! So much that we are headed back up there again next week with the cousins and even Nate (he took the day off, yeah!!)

Father's Day

Yes I realize that Father's Day was a few weeks ago but it's always better late than never.  The night before Father's Day we took the kids to decorate Grandpa Pugmire's door.  They love to do this because we have to be super quiet so that Grandpa doesn't know we are there.  On Sunday morning, Grandpa woke up to this on his door.  When we saw him later that day he told us that it totally made his day.  I love that my kids love to do stuff like this for other people and that they get to see how happy it makes others.  We also had a good time spending time with all the wonderful Father's in our lives; Dad, Nate, and Dan!!!!! Thanks for being the awesome examples that you are!!! We love you!!!

Nature Camp-Traevn

Tonaquint Nature Camp- Wiggly Worm, June 15th-19th
Traevn loved Tonaquint Nature Camp last year so much that he literally begged to be in it again this summer.   He has so much fun there and learns things everyday that he is so excited to tell us about.  This year his tribe the Dragon Warriors won the tribal challenge and so they got a plaque for it, he was so excited!!!  Also, they took a field trip one day and went fishing, which he loved!!!  I am glad that he enjoys going to Nature Camp and he already can't wait until next year.  Brekken is doing his Nature Camp this week so stay tuned for his pics.

Swimming

There is nothing that can quite cool you off in 100+ degree weather like taking a good swim.  We are fortunate to have a pool about a block away from us at Grandma and Grandpa Graff's house to use at any time.  It sure makes the hot, hot weather worth it!!! The kids are all little fish and love to be in the water!!! Nate and I love it because after a couple of hours or more it tires the kids out (not many things do:))

Little Heartbreaker

Brynlei loves to get her hair straightened but when she does it always makes her look so much older.  I seriously can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast.  I wish time would just slow down for all my kids.  The boys are so sweet and always tell her that she looks so beautiful when she gets her hair done like this.  We are for sure gonna be in trouble with this little girl when she finally does grow up (that is if any of her brothers let her date:))  Watch out boys!!!

Funny Brynn

Karter went to play neighborhood night games the other night and left his pajamas out for when he got back.  Brynlei found them and put them on and came in the front room giggling.  She thought it was so funny, she said she was being Karter.  She loves her brothers so much!!!  This little girl keeps us laughing.  She has this crazy laugh that she does and it is seriously hilarious.  (I will have to record it sometime.)   Oh yeah if you can't tell, I am still behind about two months on some other posts.  Stay tuned.
