Sorry for the lack of posts once again. I have been sick the past few days but am finally getting better. Things are still going crazy as usual especially with Nate leaving for some training this week. I will try to be back with something new tomorrow. :)

Soccer 9.19.09

Last Saturday was spent at soccer games once again. Brekken's team played first and played their hearts out. The field had just been watered so they kept tripping, slipping, etc. Brekken even took a roll in the mud. He is so much more aggressive this year. They played a tough game and ended up losing, but the donuts afterward made up for it:) Then it was off to Peyton's game, where he is an ANIMAL!!! He scored 3 of the 4 goals his team made. (Technically he also helped make the 4th one by assisting:)) His team won!!! It is so funny to watch him because he loves the game so much and isn't afraid to get right in there and do whatever it takes to score!! Brynlei's was right after Peyton's and she played much better than last week. Her team didn't have too much drama this week. I think in the end her team either tied or won. I lost count in the second half. Then finally it was off to Traevn's game. Nate did awesome coaching and Traevn played really good. He ran so much he was pooped by the end of the game. They won by a landslide!!! After Traevn's game ended at 4:00 we finally were able to grab some lunch!! Then it was home to rest before the RODEO (of course no pics of that. ) The kids had a blast at the rodeo. They loved the cowboys, princesses, bulls, horses, mutton busting, and especially the clowns!!! We even got rained on and they didn't even complain. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Graff for the tickets!! It was a very long Saturday but we had a lot of fun!!! Here's to this coming Saturday and every Saturday for the next couple of months:)

Soccer Season has began!!!

I can't believe that it is that time of year again.... Anyway last Saturday the soccer season officially began!! It is crazy. Traevn, Brekken, Peyton, and Brynlei are all playing this year, which means four games every Saturday. Crazy? of course but it's what we thrive on:) Traevn's game was first, Nate is coaching his team again this year. They totally dominated the game and won 4-2. Then it was on to Peyton's game where of course he scored the first two goals of the game. His team won 3-2. Brekken's game was next. His team played their hearts out but didn't end up winning, although Brekken scored 3 of their teams 4 goals!! It was awesome, he is an animal!! The last game of the day was Brynlei's. It was so funny to watch all these little 3-year old girls out their playing for the first time. Brynlei did good for her first game, she isn't used to playing with all girls (usually she plays with her brothers). She was a little shy but still played really good and her team ended up winning. Good job kids! We love watching you all play. It will get a little crazier when Karter's basketball games start in October with games on Saturdays. Can't wait!!!

Our little ballerina....

Okay, so I am about a month behind on this post. Brynlei started dance lessons the beginning of August at The Dance Shoppe. She absolutely loves everything about it. She does both tap and ballet. She loves getting dressed up in her leotard and skirt. I am excited because I loved being in dance as a little girl and couldn't wait until I had a little girl who would love it just as much!!! She was so sad because she had to take 3 weeks off when she hurt her foot but now she is 95% better and has been back the last couple of weeks. She is our beautiful ballerina!

*That I got to spend time with my family this weekend.
*That it is September and time for new seasons of fall shows.
*That my children are watched over safely when I am not with them.
*That we finally got somewhat started on cleaning out our garage. Yeah!!
*That my talk at Mya's baptism went good and best of all that it is over and done with. I don't like speaking in front of people.
*For the craziness of having 5 kids in sports, dance, piano, etc.
*That I finally found an awesome piano teacher for Traevn. He starts next week. (He has only been asking to start for two years:))
*For the different personalities that each of my children have and what that adds to our family.
*For the ability to catch a glimpse of the world through my children's eyes.
*That my children are already excited for HALLOWEEN!!
*For the prayers that are said on our family's behalf.
*For being here for these moments in my children's lives. The sacrifice is sooooooo worth it!!!
