9.13 Soccer Games

Update of Saturday's Soccer Games

KARTER: This was the first week of games for Karter's team ALLIANCE.... This is his second season playing for a comp team. They played really hard... Their game was in the middle of the afternoon in the dead heat of the day!! They were dying, but they played awesome! His team only has enough boys (if they all show up) for one substitute, which means that most of the boys play the entire game without a break..... Tough boys!!! They were aggressive and played well. I can't wait to watch Karter develop more in this game. Good job Kart!!

TRAEVN & BREKKEN: The BLUE DRAGON'S game was good. This week they played a little more aggressively and are working more as a team. They played awesome even though the other team didn't follow all the rules! It's frustrating when other teams don't play by the league rules, but our boys still played with all their hearts. Good job Trae and Brek!!

PEYTON: His team played so good. I love to watch how unafraid he is to get right in there with the bigger kids and take over. He has absolutely no fear whatsoever!! He loves playing the game. They have renamed their team the YELLOW SHARKS (much better, don't you think?) When he is out on the field he is so focused on being in the game, and when he is on the sidelines he shows his support to his team by cheering them on (seriously so cute)! Good job Peyt!!

NeW CaLLinG

I am back in Young Womens. I was just called to be the Beehive Advisor. I am excited, we have a great group of girls, and the other leaders will be fun to work with and get to know. I had just barely been called to CTR 8 (3 months ago) and was loving my class there and the kids in it. I am nervous for the change but I think that it will help me to grow a lot. I haven't been in YW since we were in our last ward. I just hope the girls feel the same after they have been with me for a couple of weeks:)! Anyway, just thought I would let you know.

R.I.P IMAC

It's official our IMAC was definitely sick......After two weeks in the shop and two DC-boards (whatever those are) later, we found out that the logic board was fried!! Logic board, smogic board....... Get this the cost of a new one is $800+!!!!!! Wow!!! Tell me how logical :) is that? So now we have to decide when to get a new one.... I have been working on our old PC, but the problem is that all my school and work stuff is compatible only with MAC!! Awww, it's so frustrating...the thing that really bugs me is that we just bought that one less than two years ago (and of course the warranty on it was only for one year!) Sorry about the venting, but I just had to let it out!! Thanks for letting me! Only good thing out of this is our hard drive is going to be able to be saved (originally they told us that it might be our hard drive that was fried) so now we won't lose everything!! Yeah!!

Soccer Season has Begun!!!

Yes the season has officially started at the Abbott house!! We love fall when the boys get to start playing soccer! Karter, Traevn, Brekken, and Peyton are all playing this year (Brynlei has to sadly wait one more year:)) This is Peyton's 1st year and he has been anxiously awaiting his turn to play. Saturday started with Traevn & Brekken's team The Blue Dragons (luckily they are on the same team). They played really good but were sad that they didn't win this one. Then a couple of hours later was Peyton's 1st game. He rocked!! He scored three goals and led his team to their 1st victory!! (No team name yet although the little boys have tentatively named it The Yellow Glasses:)) He was so funny to watch, he would cheer after every goal made and do a little victory dance. Karter is playing competitive league again and his games don't start until this coming Saturday, so stay tuned..... Also, Nate is coaching two of the teams.... He is coaching Traevn & Brekken's team and Karter's team!!! We stay pretty busy during soccer season but we love it.... The kids really didn't have a chance it's in their blood (thanks to their daddy:))
Stay tuned for pictures next week and weekly updates!!!

LaBoR DaY!!

On Labor Day we decided to take the kids to the new park on Dixie Drive. This park is so nice and is designed for kids of all ages!! Nate and I even tried some of the "cool" stuff out!! (It really helps to develop their motor skills which is especially nice!)

The kids loved trying all of the new things!!! They had the time of their lives!!

Even Brynlei loved trying some of the harder things... She didn't like the ones that let you spin fast quite as well:) (go figure)!!

Next time we might even try out ice-blocking!!! They have a pretty good hill there, and while we were there, there was a couple of families doing it and it looked liked fun... Besides we both haven't done it since before we were married!

After the park, we went to Grandma/Grandpa Abbott's house for a BBQ and some more play. The kids played some XBOX 360 with Dad and Grandpa!! We had fun not "laboring" on Labor Day!! Thanks to all!!!

*Our IMAC is still in the shop, hopefully, by the end of the week we will have it back:)!
