Yesterday morning the kids were happily playing in their bedrooms, when all of a sudden I heard Brynlei crying. She then came running into the family room, where I was cleaning. I took one look at her and noticed that she had a black eye. So I, being a detective's wife, sent out to investigate what had happened. After talking to the boys, this is what I was able to find out. Allegedly, she was up on Karter's top bunk and all by herself (with absolutely no help from anyone, I am sure:)) hit her eye on the edge of the bed. Since I will never really know what happened, I told Brynlei that she had to hang out with me for the rest of the morning. She was happy with that, but insisted that she put an ice pack on it.
I really don't know what I am going to do with this girl.....She is completely a girly-girl and yet when it comes to her brothers, she doesn't like to be told she can't do what they are doing. She is completely fearless to try things if she has seen her brothers do it. Her devotion to be "one of the boys" I fear is going to leave her with more battle wounds than beauty marks. She is constantly getting banged up (along with everyone else in this household), and has even been the first out of all my children to chip her front tooth (that story is for another post!) But then again she wouldn't be Brynlei without the "marks" to prove it. We love you little girl!!

This story made me laugh. Love the black Eye. I'm sure you will have more to come!!!! It reminds me when Austin my baby jumped off the top bunk to the the full bed next to the bunk and landed on the floor. But no one knows how he thought of the idea so they tell me!!! LOL
Kids getting hurt, Legacy is so clutsy I swear that girl falls and bumps into things more than anyone I have ever seen. I keep wondering is she going to be like this forever or is she going to grow out of this?
BTW- I use Photoshop to scrapbook, and there are websites you can download free stuff. It is really cool. If you need help finding sites and packs let me know I can totally help you.
Brynlei looks so cute in that picture!! She better come and stay with her Aunt for awhile!!
All battle scars turn into beauty marks right? She is growing up so fast! I am glad she can hold her own with her brothers, It will pay off once she hits her teens!!! We really miss you guys!
